Kemon Days Unleashes Wearable FASHION
World-Class U.S. Debut of Spring/Summer 09 Collection
Kemon Days was met with wild enthusiasm and anticipation when tng worldwide (TNG), U.S. Master Distributor for Kemon, announced its U.S. debut in 2009. Yet even with the promise of an unprecedented, groundbreaking event, it surpassed all expectations. Two days of beauty, fashion, music and art inspired and amazed all who attended. The experience of Kemon Days was unlike anything ever witnessed before in the U.S.
“It was a smashing success,” says Larry Gaynor, president and CEO of TNG.

Those at Kemon Days were privileged to see the unveiling of the 2009 Spring/Summer collection “Tribute to the Eighties” from Kemon with live stage presentations and demonstrations. The look of the collection is fresh and modern with a strong 80s influence. Well-defined lines and brilliant colors are the essence of “Punk Chic,” a rediscovery of the mix of androgyny and the feminine. Long, wavy, layered blond manes define “Fluo Rock,” a look that captures the woman who loves pop music, shopping, and hitting the clubs.
“The most exciting part about Kemon Days is that instead of a three-hour show, we had two days packed with stage shows, break-out presentations and great shopping,” says Aaron Michael Kosiba, Kemon National Technical Coach.
The Italian and U.S. Artistic teams partnered for the performance, which included a series of looks presented through a Madonna chronology of eight vignettes presented by Kemon salons. What better way to showcase the latest collection than through the iconic look of a Material Girl who embodied the style and culture of this decade!
After a cocktail reception and five-course Italian feast, guests decked out to the nines partied the night away Sunday evening. They rocked out to tunes from Sinjon Smith, performing LIVE. The energy and inspiration of Kemon Days infused all who attended with a gift of knowledge and passion to pursue their art with newfound vigor. Kemon Days united hairdressers and educators in partnership toward excellence in their craft.
“Kemon Days offered an exciting networking opportunity for stylists to get together, meet other people in the industry and learn about the Kemon color lines,” says Kristy Slawski, Kemon Technical Coach.
Day two featured three break-out sessions of education from top Kemon educators all the way from Italy. The more interactive presentation included technical instruction on techniques and secrets for color, cutting, styling and formal updos for the Spring/Summer 2009 collection.
“The Kemon Italian team headed by their very talented Angelo shocked the audience with his effortless style of cutting hair,” says Gaynor. “Monday was so inspirational, so intense, that guests couldn’t believe their eyes, and they knew Kemon is not just another brand. It is their brand.”

Angelo Labriola’s abilities to visualize and create beauty have resulted in his talents being demanded by the most famous photographers of the fashion world. A Master of Art, he has collaborated with the most important fashion magazines and notables in the beauty industry. Kemon Italian Touch collections have featured his vision and creations.
Italian Coach Fabio Messina also inspired all with his amazing talents. After beginning his career at age 13, his talent and energy have led to his success as an image consultant to celebrities and TV shows. As an entrepreneur, he has been a salon owner, created a franchise network of 70 salons, a business network of more than 300 salons, and created the Diadema International Academy training center with more than 50 instructors on staff.
“This was a world-class event,” says Randy Riggle, TNG national education manager. “For our first U.S. event, it was amazing! The feedback I have received from attendees has all been five-star, and they wished it could have been longer. We are thrilled that it has been such a big hit!”
Kemon Days offered the unprecedented opportunity for stylists across the U.S. to receive knowledge and instruction from these incredibly talented individuals and the U.S. Technical and Artistic teams for Kemon.
