How long in the beauty industry:
How I became interested in the business:
I was going to college to obtain my teaching degree in auto mechanics and English. I was working full time and going to school, all while trying to be a mom. My dad always thought I had a flair for doing hair (I did my own for dance, and I did all of my friends and my brothers hair), so I figured I would give it a try. Seven years later I love my job and what I do. The art that goes into color and dimension is what I live for. It has become a part of me. I dont think I will ever be able to do anything else. Being a teacher was always a goal of mine, and now I can teach what I am most passionate about! You cant have a career any more fulfilling than that.
Fun facts:
I was a finalist in the formal category for the 2007 Tiffany Awards. Updo hair is my secret passion. I love to create different styles and looks with hair.
What I like most about Kemon:
Kemon is a green company and I love working with a company that cares about our planet, and our childrens futures.
My Kemon product recommendations:
Yo Color (the best hair color on the market. No PPD, no ammonia, incredible shine).
What makes Kemon different from other brands:
Commitment to excellence in everything they do, from being family owned for 50 years to the quality of the product they put on the shelf to the care and consideration that goes into the quality of making the products.
My favorite Kemon color formula:
Dark Chocolate (4.36) mixed with Apricot (7.4) and Mixy Milk 3. It is so rich and natural looking.
Styling tips:
Dont color your own hair. When styling for volume, blow-dry from the nape to your crown. Little tiny claw clips (instead of bobby pins) can make doing up hair at home very easy.
