How long in the beauty industry:
How I became interested in the business:
I started in the industry after college for a challenge. I was going to be a doctor, but wanted to do something more challenging and creative.
Fun facts:
I come from a family of four generations of barbers. I have worked with a lot of celebrities and my work has appeared in several major magazines. I love to find inspiration in unusual things, such as using basket weaving techniques in updos, doing hair color based on silk I bought in a Bangkok flea market, haircuts incorporating looks and shapes from nature, (ocean waves, leaves, texture of tree bark).
What I like most about Kemon:
The end result and shine. Hair feels amazing afterwards. Also, Im impressed by the lack of fading of color after time.
My Kemon product recommendations:
For people with curly/frizzy hair, I like mixing Control Liss with Control Wet. It leaves the hair smooth and bouncy without the stickiness.
What makes Kemon different from other brands:
I would have to say the entire Yo Color line. Its so revolutionary and cool. The scent, consistency of product, the shine of the hair. I love to use it on clients with damaged hair and watch their reaction when they see how amazing their hair looks and feels afterwards. Its very rewarding.
My favorite Kemon color formula:
Coloro 5.36 mixed with 20 volume for a chocolatey brown color.
Styling tips:
For a beautiful blow out for dry hair that is curly, use Control Lis mixed with Control Wet. Use the Control Lis at home for a smoother blow dry for curly hair.
